Hands-on and handled with care, the process behind the Neishaa Gharat for Oxfam Collection was truly a labour of love. From picking out pieces and creating ensembles to snapping them in a photo shoot and sending them down the runway, the planning and preparation of the collection proved to be just as rewarding as the final presentation itself.
In this issue from 23 August 2013, the Eastern Eye – “Britain’s best known and most respected Asian paper” – highlighted Neishaa Gharat’s work for Oxfam, discussing her hand-picked, 30-piece collection, Neishaa Gharat for Oxfam, and announcing the corresponding fashion show at the London Mela. The Wishing Rail – an art installation by Neishaa – features in the article, as well as some pertinent charity-shop buying tips.
